In December 2024, Soapworks was delighted to be presented with an award from Glasgow the Caring City for 25 years of outstanding partnership and dedication to global health and welfare in recognition of our Soap-Aid Initiative.

Soapworks is committed to reducing wastage wherever possible and aims to recycle and re-use excess materials from limited edition and end of line bars soap, solid haircare and household bars produced in our factory here in Glasgow. These are repurposed into new tablets, ensuring waste materials are diverted from landfill.

Through our collaboration with Glasgow the Caring City, these soaps are sent to vulnerable communities not just within Glasgow but throughout the UK and overseas. This initiative provides essential access to basic hygiene for those most in need and plays an important role in preventing the spread of disease.

Soapworks was delighted to have received this award for recognition of our dedication to this initiative! Looking ahead to the future, Soapworks’ donations will continue to help communities affected by disease and natural disasters as well as vulnerable communities suffering due to conflict or acute deprivation.
